Department: ClinLab Staffing
Job Title: Recruiter
How long have you been in this position?: 6 Months
What are your currently working on?: Bioanalytcal Scientist, Senior Scientist, Facilities Documentation Specialist, Senior Research Associate, and a Technical Writer.
What do you look for in potential candidates?: Strong communication skills along with the willingness to communicate readily and openly. The only thing more important than that, aside from having the appropriate background of course, is honesty.
Educational/Work Background: I come from a sales/ customer service background and attended college prior to joining the Army.
Why did you decide to enter into this career?: It just made sense to me. It was the next logical step in my career and melds well with my personality, background, and aspirations for longevity and success.
What do you like most about your job?: Building relationships through networking and communicating is certainly a very close second, but I’d be lying if I didn’t say that making a deal happen is the best part about what I do. It’s a lot of work to make things come together and it’s a really great feeling when you know you’ve done a good job.
What one word would your co-workers use to describe you?: It’s a real friendly environment within the group and we work extremely well together as a team. There’s a lot of light hearted banter that goes back and forth so I’m not sure anything serious would come out of that question, but if you asked them honestly, I’d hope they say I’m a team-player.
What has been your biggest accomplishment/proudest moment career-wise?: There’s been a lot to be proud of throughout my career. As brief as it’s been to this point within the industry, I’ve even had very proud moments as a recruiter. It’s impossible though for me to feel any more pride then I do when I think about serving my country, and doing it honorably.
What is your long-term career goal?: Everything for me right now is about future and family so my main focus is just on working hard and being successful so someday I can breath a little easier. Ultimately, it would be great to manage a group of recruiters just like the team we have now.
